This song is a tribute to Dr. Donald Byrd, with whom I studied at Jazzmobile in Harlem, USA. Listen to the classic tune "Cristo Redentor" to understand where I am coming from.

Donaldson Toussaint L'Ouverture Byrd II, (born December 9, 1932) is an American jazz and rhythm and blues trumpeter.
